Coyote awarded the 2018 Aviation Week Laureate Award winner for Defense, Dual Use

Aviation Week & Space Technology announced that the COYOTE UAV has been selected as a winner of the 61st Annual Laureate Awards, honoring extraordinary achievements in the global aerospace arena. The winners will be honored on 1 March, 2018, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, and a Grand Laureate will be announced. The panel of judges the Coyote for “flying into and waiting in the eye of Hurricane Maria, allowing NOAA to better forecast how intense the storm would be at landfall and more accurately estimate the magnitude of the storm surge.”

“All of the winners were selected by Aviation Week Network editors who reviewed dozens of nominations, embody the spirit of exploration, innovation and vision that will inspire others to strive for broad-reaching progress in aviation, aerospace and defense,” said Aviation Week & Space Technology Editor-in-Chief Joseph C. Anselmo.
