NOAA’s P3 continues to monitor Hurricane Hermine as it makes landfall

NOAA’s hurricane hunter aircraft, NOAA43 is currently flying in Hurricane Hermine. They continue to gather data to improve our forecasts and understand how land interacts with the hurricane. Additional information on the type of experiment they are flying can be found here. Below is an image of the flight track superimposed over a NEXRAD radar reflectivity image. The black line is the NOAA P3 flight track.
