The P3’s last flight into Danny takes off at 2AM Eastern this morning

NOAA’s P3 hurricane hunter aircraft will fly a Tail Doppler Radar (TDR) mission into Danny this morning. This flight is tasked by the National Hurricane Center. The P3 will depart at 2:00AM local time from Barbados for their eight hour mission. This is the final flight in the series of flights that has been gathering data every 12 hours. The flight track is shown below. The dots on the flight track (shown in green) represent the aircraft turn points. The red dots in the figure show the locations that launch weather balloons twice a day while the purple dots are the locations that launch balloons once a day.
