It’s an early morning flight for NOAA’s P3 hurricane hunter aircraft into Danny

NOAA’s P-3 hurricane hunter aircraft is flying a Tail Doppler Radar (TDR) mission into Danny this morning. The P3 departed around 2:00AM local time from Barbados for their eight hour mission. This is the second flight in the series of flights that is gathering data every 12 hours. The flight track is shown below. The dots on the flight track (shown in green) represent the aircraft turn points. The red dots in the figure show the locations that launch weather balloons twice a day while the purple dots are the locations that launch balloons once a day.
