NOAA43 P3 aircraft will fly early Monday morning into Bertha

The NOAA43 P3 aircraft is scheduled to fly at 2AM today. It will fly out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They will fly a Tail Doppler Mission into Bertha. The focus of this mission is collecting Doppler radar data, analyzing it and sending the data off the plane to be ingested in the hurricane forecast models. Below is the proposed flight track. The dots on the flight track represent the aircraft turn points. The red dots in the figure show the locations that launch weather balloons twice a day while the purple dots are the locations that launch balloons once a day.
