NASA’s Global Hawk flew its fourth mission over Post Tropical Storm Nadine (now classified back to Tropical Storm). The Global Hawk took off on Sept. 22nd from Wallops Island, VA (around 1PM EDT) and returned 25 hours later on Sept. 23rd. This is part of their field campaign called Hurricane Severe Storm Sentinel (HS3). HRD scientists processed the dropwindsondes for this flight. The unmanned aircraft flew the flight pattern and launch dropwindsondes at the points shown here. With Nadine still around, the Global Hawk will probably fly again on Wednesday.
